“Education, Not Litigation” was established to focus attention on California education agencies which systematically and persistently avoid compliance and evade accountability to the detriment of California’s students with disabilities, resulting in the continuing failure of students to make appropriate progress and an improper drain on California’s education funds.

The goal of “Education, Not Litigation” is to raise awareness and activism around California’s persistent lack of compliance and accountability, specifically LEAs and the SEA which fail to comply with the law and instead spend California’s education dollars on litigation, rather than education, with a significant denial of educational benefit for children with disabilities and a resulting fiscal crisis for families of children with disabilities, as well as ALL California’s students, teachers and communities.
